Legacy Giving

Legacy Giving to the Gamma Lambda Chapter of Sigma Chi

A legacy gift to Gamma Lambda is a lasting investment in your chapter at McGill University, as it approaches its 100th year. Your gift will help ensure that the Gamma Lambda Chapter House, where brothers experience a deep appreciation of our fraternity’s motto, Friendship Justice and Learning, will continue to provide a safe and welcoming home to all.

Planned Giving – Leave a Planned Gift in Your Will

Your legacy gift left in your will can be an important source of support, providing for the maintenance and longevity of Gamma Lambda’s Chapter House. Fully 100% of gifts will be put to use where they are most needed, with all the funds going to regular repairs and scheduled maintenance, or to the Reserve Fund in case of extraordinary need. Day-to-day maintenance of the Chapter House is the responsibility of the Active chapter and is not funded by your legacy gift.

All legacy gifts are 100% directed to the needs of the Chapter House and are administered by the Gamma Lambda Foundation Inc. (GLFI aka House Corp), a group of dedicated Gamma Lambda alumni who gladly volunteer their skills and experience, without compensation.

There Are a Few Ways to Give

  • A stated dollar amount
  • A percentage of your residual estate (what remains after gifts to loved ones and expenses have been paid)
  • A specific asset, such as securities or other marketable property
